  Today I foolishly asked if we’ll ever see justice for the destruction and trauma wrought by this presidency… and it’s not great. This is a keystone reading where I pre-select a Major Arcana card as the center for the reading and keep it in the deck as I shuffle. Then I flip the deck until I find the card—in this case Justice—and read the two cards above it and two below it. Today I asked tarot to show me the death of Mango Mussolini. I used The Wizard’s Tarot, which is loosely based on RWS but mostly just the artist’s whims.  The Tower: Either the death itself will be a catastrophic health failure, or the death will cause a crisis. Probably both.  Eight of Cults (Pentacles): This is one of the cards that diverges from RWS, and what I see here is shadow creatures and slime monsters escorting / welcoming him through the gates of hell.  Ten of Swords: This is a riff off of the RWS. Instead of showing the utter defeat of the ten swords plunged into a body, this is a street hawker fencing the swords. While the magas suffer, there will be some who profit from their loss. In the background we see a dragon retreating to its castle. This could symbolize the rabid racists or the oligarchy class going into hiding.

I recently broke through a brick wall in my family tree research. There is still a gap in the record I queried tarot about. I suspect this ancestor was sent out to do domestic work in another household as a teen, resulting in a child out of wedlock. I got the idea when I saw a record of her little sister working as a servant by age 11. The Devil: Temptation. It appears that having a young girl working in the household presented an opportunity that a man in the house felt compelled to exploit. King of Cups Rv: The man in question may have been the head of household, but whoever he was he was ill-tempered, immature, possibly a drunk.  Queen of Pentacles: This is possibly the wife of the household. She presents as wealthy and may have been the one with means. I am guessing she controlled the household finances.  Justice: The affair (or assault?) resulted in a child.  A boyfriend from high school died a couple years ago and I only just found out. For the last several years he would post on FB for his sobriety anniversary and I hadn’t seen anything so I went to his profile and saw… “heavenly birthday” greetings from last year?!?!  No announcement on his profile, no obit, not even an open post on his wife’s, kids’, mom’s, or brother’s pages. I did some internet sleuthing and all I found was a rejected bankruptcy filing from 2 years ago for $3000 of debt. His last profile pic he looked sick so he could have had liver issues, cancer, anything.  I was deeply infatuated with this dude and am feeling really gutted. I had a nice afternoon patio lunch with my friend JK this weekend. She has some stuff going on with someone she really cares about, but who is a bit injured and less experienced. After catching up, I offered to do a reading. This is the cliff’s notes version as we had a pretty long conversation.  Where you are now: You’re in a learning cycle and taking on new projects.
