Past, Present, Future (No Topic)

Lately, I haven't had any particular questions I want answered and I'm just open to general guidance. I thought about reading this spread upright, but decided against it because reverse cards usually represent internalized energy, and I have an abundance of that these days. I'm glad I left them all in reverse because this result was fantastically accurate.

Past: Ace of Pentacles, Reversed - Lost opportunity, lack of planning and foresight. Hesitation about moving forward. Um, YES. We were thinking of selling this house last summer, but there was just too much to do with the house, not enough funds, I was in the middle of a job change, and Pat was working full time in the hot sun. We weren't making any progress, so I pulled the plug. Now I'm kicking myself, what with a global pandemic and economic insecurity happening now. However, this card is also reassuring me not to take action until I'm ready, and to do my due diligence. We got a HELOC, and got some work done on the house over winter, but then some financial mismanagement ate up a bunch more of our home improvement money, very frustrating! I was counting on that money and *poof* it was just gone.

Present: Seven of Cups, Reversed - Alignment, personal values, overwhelmed by choices. This card is reminding me to pause and reflect on what aligns with my values, and what will be most beneficial in the long term. The thing I value most right now is safety and security. We are OK where we are right now. Moving mountains to get the house sold sooner means less safety in the months to come. Though the immediate financial benefit is tempting, there's a risk to our housing and health to account for.

Future: Two of Wands, Reversed - I've pulled this card already this week, and from a different deck! First I need to do some introspection to evaluate what I really want. Then I have to make a plan if I want to meet my goals. I can do it all if I manage my time and resources.

Having received this same message multiple times recently, I did finally sit down to set my goals, and create a plan to meet the first couple goals. I'm feeling more motivated and hoping I can get some momentum on these house tasks!

Delinda, Are You There?

This is a reading trying to connect with my 3x great grandma Delinda Fairchild. 2 of Cups: I believe this is showing me that we’re “birds of a feather” and have similar character. It’s two very different birds enjoying the same food and the same environment or ecosystem. Most interestingly, one bird is black, one bird is white; I am white and Delinda was black. A little on the nose, but it struck me. King of Swords: She was a smart and clever woman and had an attitude of authority, a matriarch. The crow is perched on a grave with angel wings against a smoky background: a spirit who has passed on. There are 3 hourglasses: hourglasses normally represent time but I don’t know how it applies. They hold a fish, a heart, and a sword, which I perceive as the gut feeling, the emotions, and the mind working in harmony. Maybe she was intuitive, too? 4 of Pents Rv: I get a sense she was on the defensive a lot of her life. From the ONE vital record I found of her, she lived in rural New York, wido...

Can I strengthen my relationship with my friend?

Short answer: The relationship is fine - solid actually (she's just really busy), get your self-saboteur under control and focus on your new project idea!

I’m a Monster

Q: What can I do to better support my spouse’s new business idea? (Housewives Tarot, of course) 5 of Cups: failure, pessimism Page of Cups Rv: new ideas, doubts, creative block 8 of Cups: disappointment, giving up, fantasy Clarifier: Page of Pentacles: opportunity, skill development, manifestation Rather than answering how I can help, the spread displays my general attitude about his gazillion hobbies and spending too much money on expensive things he will get bored of right away and never use again. I am the one who is pessimistic, doubtful. I am worried he’s buying just to buy, has big ideas with no follow-through.  The last card, Page of Pents, I pulled as a clarifier. It seemed to assure me that my spouse really does see photography as a financial opportunity. He’s dedicated hours and hours to learning the equipment, software, industries, and other topics. He is really trying to manifest this reality and make the leap to self-employment via services using this equipment. ...
