How Can I Increase my Joy Today?

4 of Wands: Joy Seriously?? 🙄😂

Learning New Stuff

I splurged and signed up for an online course on ways to make money on my art. I pulled 3 cards to get a sense of what I can expect and if this will be a helpful course.  Knight of Wands: Creative *action*, exercises, stuff to do, etc. Could also refer to my being impulsive jumping on this course! But I’m definitely inspired and want to learn new things.  King of Cups: I need to check my expectations and control my emotions and keep an open mind. I’ll admit I’m walking into this with raging imposter syndrome 😅 Ace of Swords R: This course might bring clarity to the business / marketing side of things and might have me rethinking some things.  What are you picking up here? [BTW 3rd Edition of Northern Animal Tarot is perfection!! Slightly smaller cards are easier to shuffle, the linen is finer-grain than 1st Ed and the colors are so vibrant!!]

Calling Uncle Melvin

This is SUPER long, involves a trigger warning for potential suicide, a 90-yr old tragedy/controversy, and reading for someone deceased. I was compelled to pull this reading to gain insight into an unknowable situation. [Tarot Disassembled by Jennifer Cooper Steidley] When I was a kid there was a story my great-gran told us about an uncle who got drunk and fell into the pig pen and died and the pigs ate him. Pretty gruesome, but it turned out to be euphemistic for something far worse that we accidentally uncovered decades later. Back about ten years ago, my mom, her cousin, and I traveled to the area our recent ancestors lived to visit their town, see the old farm, cemetery, historical society etc. to build up our family tree. We stumbled on a big mystery! One bread crumb led to another and we ultimately compiled news stories, court records, talked to a local historian, and even got the coroner’s report… Here is the summary of this tale: My great-grandpa’s brother Melvin got in trouble...
